Gunung Bromo yang tingginya mencapai (2.392 m) merupakan gunung berapi aktif yang terletak di Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Kunjungan ke Gunung Bromo adalah kesempatan untuk memiliki pandangan pada massif Tengger seluruh terbuat dari gunung berapi aktif beberapa, salah satu pemandangan paling mengesankan dari Indonesia, sedangkan Semeru Gunung (3.676 m), gunung tertinggi di Jawa, mengelilingi seluruh panorama.

Apa yang dikenal sebagai Gunung Bromo, yang dikenal volvano terbaik dari massif, sebenarnya salah satu dari empat gunung yang telah muncul dalam kaldera dari gunung berapi kuno Tengger.

Jarak dari Gunung Bromo ke Surabaya adalah sekitar 3 1/2 jam perjalanan, diharapkan akan dipersingkat menjadi 2 1/2 jam perjalanan dengan akhir 2012 berkat perbaikan jalan.
